Written by their neice, this is the story of Goingback Chiltoskey, famed woodcarver and tribal member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (ECBI), and his wife Mary, who came to Cherokee from Alabama to teach. Mary stayed, writing books about the Cherokee and marrying Goingback.
